As a sceptic and a regular of the Jugglers I was impressed to see members of the audience that had never met Mat grace the stage for the start of the show, one always wonders if these people are just friends of the performer, but in this case I knew they weren't. Within half an hour I was on the floor laughing as several of my fellow sceptics were trying to answer each others shoes, utterly convinced the most important phone call they had ever received was ringing through to a shoe on some one else’s foot. Shortly before this they had all been John Wayne for a full four minuets of intense on stage horse racing but I struggled to see this through the tears of laughter.
After a nerve shattering interval where the would be performers were sure they should be running around the crowd flashing the audience in trench coats or trying to direct a pub full of film extras to play along to the script in their heads with a megaphone (you really had to be there to believe this) the second half got under way. Ballroom dancing, stripping, Blind Date, and when the stars came back they were all convinced they had only been on stage for ten or so minutes. Outstanding, hilarious, unbelievable, original, and brilliant entertainment. Mat is a true star and has made a believer out of REALBrighton.com, You be crazy to miss his shows, every Sunday at The Juggler.
