Hoorah for Nicki and her team who have been a whole year at the PV, which has gone from strength to strength. To mark the occasion, they were having a whole weekend of celebrations and we, probably quite wisely, chose to pop along on the less frenetic Sunday session.

Chilling jazz and soul was provided by Nikki, whose voice has that quality that makes you believe (possibly rightly) that she had been alternating between smoking several cartons of Bensons's while sucking a fisherman's friend and using a honeycomb as an internal throat loofah. A gravel to it, but with a breathy, just been naughty quality that gives it a highly original sound. I'll pop along for more very soon! Sundays are highly recommended.
