The Beacon volunteers had been up and about since the very small hours of the morning making sure the event went without a hitch. We were there but an hour or two before the event and our hands were already freezing... big big congratulations to all the support workers for putting up with the icy wind and rain and helping make the event another huge success!

With the speakers blasting out instructions, the runners pinned numbers on each other and made their way to the start...
